What each release analysis covers
A changelog summarizes a release in a few lines. Each analysis lists what moved between the version a team runs and the one it is about to install, so an upgrade decision rests on settings, models and defaults rather than a summary.
- Environment variables added or removed, with defaults and the behaviour each one controls.
- Model IDs added or dropped, including changes to the default model.
- Features that ship behind flags or before the changelog mentions them, with the version where each first appeared.
- Fixes that change behaviour, such as security hardening or billing corrections, with the affected versions.
- A link to the official changelog or release notes for the version under review.

New releases are checked hourly. Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, OpenCode 2 and Gemini CLI get one analysis per release. Amp publishes about eight builds a day, so it gets a daily roll-up covering every build since the previous post.
What sources do the analyses cite?
The official changelog and release notes for each version and the agent’s public documentation. For the open-source agents (Codex CLI, OpenCode and Gemini CLI) each analysis also links the release tag on GitHub.
