Newsletter

The newsletter form collects your email address, the page you signed up from (its slug, for example claude-code-versions) and any utm_ campaign parameters in that page's address. Your IP address goes to Buttondown with the signup so it can screen out spam signups, and to Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam check on the form.

Buttondown stores the list and sends the emails. The address is used only to send the weekly digest of new posts and occasional notes; it is not sold or shared with anyone else.

Signup uses double opt-in: Buttondown sends one confirmation email, and nothing else arrives unless you click its link. Every email has an unsubscribe link that removes you at once. To have your address and its signup data deleted entirely, ask through the contact page.

Analytics

The site runs Mixpanel analytics on every page. It records page views (path, title, referrer, browser), an approximate location derived from the IP address, a random identifier kept in your browser's local storage, and a few events, such as a completed newsletter signup with the page it happened on. The email address is never sent to Mixpanel.
