OpenCode 2 v2.1.1 follows v2.1.0. The terminal's new designs reach the model switcher (#56095), the settings and export dialogs (#56099), and the session export dialog (#56093); the settings dialog shows a description for each setting (#56100), and the core broadcasts models.dev catalog refreshes server-wide (#57148).
The model switcher and settings get the new design#
The terminal's model switcher, the /models selector that lists the enabled models whose provider is available in the current project and applies a choice to the current session without rewriting the config file, is redesigned to match the new designs (#56095).[1] The rest of the new designs land alongside it:
- The settings and export dialogs match the new designs (#56099).
- The session exported dialog matches the new designs (#56093).
- The settings dialog shows a description for each setting (#56100).
- List dialogs use faint secondary text (#56094) and a base color for typed search text (#56098).
Core and catalog#
The core broadcasts models.dev catalog refreshes server-wide (#57148) and builds provider variants after package normalization (#57075). The bundled models.dev snapshot is refreshed. On the stats site, the top models leaderboard gains missing lab logos (#57314), and the console docs explain API keys and scoped permissions (#57386).
The redesign lands dialog by dialog#
The new designs arrive one dialog at a time, each as its own change: the model switcher, the settings and export dialogs, and the session export dialog move over separately, with the settings dialog gaining a description for each setting and the list dialogs tuned for text color. The restyle ships as a staged rollout across the terminal's dialogs.
Underneath the switcher sits the models.dev catalog, and a catalog refresh propagates server-wide. The list the switcher draws from and the dialog that displays it advance in the same release.
