Amp build 0.0.1791676897, a week on from 0.0.1791060199, lets you run Amp on your own Claude Pro or Max plan, free for everyone, and gives Puck multiple separate conversations. Both changes landed between October 3 and October 11, 2026.[1]
Run on your Claude plan#
You can now use your Claude Pro or Max subscription in Amp. Sourcegraph lists it as free and available to everyone.[1]
Amp has been free since September 13, 2026 when you bring your own compute and model subscriptions.[2]
| Change | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Run on your Claude plan | Amp can run on your Claude Pro or Max subscription, free and available to everyone (Oct 10).[1] |
| Multiple Puck conversations | Puck supports multiple separate conversations, each with its own Puck (Oct 6).[3] |
Multiple Puck conversations#
You can now hold multiple separate conversations with Puck, each with its own Puck.[3] Topics that used to share a single conversation can each be their own.
What This Tells Us#
For someone already paying for Claude Pro or Max, that subscription now covers using Amp, which Sourcegraph lists as free for everyone. The same plan powers Anthropic's Claude Code, so one subscription reaches both tools without a separate Amp bill.
Amp sets model choice through the Dial, a set of notches you turn to low, medium, high, or ultra rather than a per-request model list. You pick a tier and Amp routes the request, and the model behind each tier is Amp's to change; Opus 5.5 took over medium on September 28.[4] Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode surface the model to the user through a flag, config, or a /model command, while Amp keeps it behind a tier.
Amp ships many builds a day, so a week spans dozens of them. The two entries above are the user-facing changes on the public changelog for this range.
