Amp build 0.0.1792281673, one week on from 0.0.1791676897, has Amp follow up on your GitHub pull requests, puts Puck in other agents through MCP, and lets you see and use your macOS runner's desktop. These changes landed between October 12 and October 16, 2026.[1]
What shipped this week#
| Change | What You Get |
|---|---|
| GitHub pull request follow-ups | Amp follows up on your GitHub pull requests (Oct 12).[1] |
| Puck in other agents | Puck, Amp's meta-agent, can be used in other agents through MCP (Oct 13).[2] |
| Runner desktop | See and use your macOS runner's desktop, so you can try the iOS app Amp is building for you (Oct 16).[3] |
| Faster review start | Amp now orders the Changes pane so the files essential to a change come first, so your review starts sooner (Oct 12).[4] |
Amp follows up on your pull requests#
As of October 12, Amp follows up on your GitHub pull requests.[1]
Puck in other agents#
Puck is Amp's meta-agent, the helper you work with inside Amp.[5] As of October 13, you can use Puck in other agents through MCP, so the helper is reachable from outside the Amp client.[2]
See your runner's desktop#
A runner is the machine Amp runs threads on, and the macOS app starts one for you.[6] Amp has been free since September 13, 2026 when you bring your own compute and model subscriptions, so that machine is yours.[7] As of October 16, you can see and use the runner's desktop, so you can try the iOS app Amp is building for you.[3]
Faster review start#
Amp now orders the Changes pane so the files essential to a change come first, so your review starts sooner.[4]
Amp moves outside the chat window#
Three of this week's four user-facing changes place Amp outside its own chat. Puck is reachable from other agents over MCP, Amp acts on your GitHub pull requests, and the runner's desktop is on your screen so you can use what Amp builds there. The fourth change is internal to review: file ordering now puts the essential files first and the review starts sooner. For a tool that runs on your own machine, these put its results where you already are: in a pull request, in another agent, and on the runner's desktop.
Amp ships many builds a day, so a week spans dozens of them. The four entries above are the user-facing changes on the public changelog for October 12 through 16, 2026.
